FAQ

Which capacity should I choose?

Choose the capacity that keeps your expected pullout values well inside the gauge range. 1,000 lb gives finer readings for most deck screws and roofing fasteners; 2,000 lb gives headroom for anchors that can exceed 1,000 lbf. Both are the same price. Not sure? Call us.

Does it meet ANSI/SPRI FX-1?

Yes. FX-1 requires a gauge accurate to ±5% of the reading with a dated calibration certificate no older than 12 months. This tester is accurate to 0.5% of full scale and ships with a new calibration certificate.

What fasteners can it test?

The included RS-2K fixture handles most roofing screws, with over 4 in of travel to fully extract long fasteners. Optional fixtures cover lightweight concrete fasteners, FM-90 and FM-290 fabric fasteners, and uplift testing.

Will it work with my Com-Ten fixtures?

It works with most Com-Ten fixtures. For the rest, the CTA-500 adapter is $45.

How fast does it ship?

It usually ships within one business day of your order.

How often does it need calibration?

Every 12 months to meet FX-1, or sooner if it is dropped or the readings look wrong. We recalibrate Force-Test pull testers for $150, NIST traceable.
