5,000lbs capacity wedge grips

Manually operated, 5,000lbs capacity, open sided wedge clamp.  This isn’t a cheap import.  It is machined entirely from 4140 carbon steel with a black zinc finish, and it is made in the US.  The heat treated 4140 anvils are 1” wide by 1-1/2” tall, and have a rough carbide coating.  Over the years, we have had the opportunity to develop several different types of wedge grips, and we feel this design can’t be beat.  With our clamps, the anvils stay vertically stationary as you adjust them.  This makes setup extremely easy.  You no longer have to adjust your tester’s cross head to accommodate for the movement of the anvils as you tighten them.  Instead of using springs to apply a weak initial clamping pressure, we use a threaded adjustment that easily allows you to apply hundreds of pounds of force with little effort.  Because our clamps have a stiff design and only use high quality materials, you will not experience “sticking” after the test has been performed.  The grip will release with less force than you used to tighten it.
